An attractive work of art:

Created in 2018, Crans-Montana’s Chemin des Lanternes has become the Haut-Plateau’s second-largest event in 7 years, with 90,000 admissions last winter. A rise in popularity that rewards an original attraction and plunges us into a luminous, nonchalant magic, the peaceful dream of fairy lights that awaken the night.

Developing potential:

Crans-Montana has joined a handful of destinations that have customized their Chemin des Lanternes towards success. In Europe we find Metz and its Sentier des Lanternes, created in 2007 with 200,000 visitors, and London Lightopia, created in 2019, which is seeing its queues lengthen. Further afield, Terra Lumina in Toronto, created in 2019, has already attracted 1.2 million visitors.

The Qinhuai Lantern Fair in Nanjing attracts 600,000 visitors, the Zigong Lantern Festival (created in 1964) attracts 1.15 million people, the Seoul Lantern Festival (created in 2009) has 1.3 million visitors, but the record goes to the Taiwan Lantern Festival with its 15 million visitors!

A new dynamic:

Few places in the world offer this kind of attraction, which is growing every year. The destinations that offer it, each with its own personality, are close to urban centers, and Crans-Montana, as a mountain-town in its own right, is no exception.

Attraction – Attractiveness – Attraction :

The story of a place often begins with an attraction. Then it becomes an attraction when you think of prolonging the experience because you “feel good” there. Finally, the attraction becomes irrepressible, until you decide to move in. That’s how you become a property owner on the Haut-Plateau, and naturally a member of Valpic!

Bright!
