Written by More than 80 people gathered for the first Valpic Saturday at the Guarda Golf Hotel & Residences in Crans-Montana. The presentation of Valpic, followed by a question and answer session, ended with a traditional drink with delicious delicacies. More than twenty people extended the evening with an excellent dinner on site.
The central theme was the dialog and the tools for rapprochement that Valpic offers in its approach, a method that was praised by the audience. Cooperation with all the associations and authorities at Haut-Plateau level, but also at district, cantonal and federal level, was highlighted. It has, moreover, largely begun.
The board members were encouraged by the strong motivation of the members and the public, who were very receptive to this new instrument for representing their interests. They themselves suggested that it should be at the service of everyone in a broader perspective, whether they are secondary residents, primary residents or citizens of one of the three municipalities of the Haut-Plateau. Even the latter, although they are eligible to vote, consider Valpic to be a useful and original addition to the institutions so that the traditional dialog can embrace a new “ownership” dimension.
The various topics that fuel the debates of both owners and authorities will be put up for discussion at the next Valpic Saturdays. These will be real research forums that will allow a broad exchange. Each topic will be discussed in depth, some of them probably on several Valpic Saturdays, so that all sensitivities can be expressed. These exchanges, based on the expression of differences and the identification of consensuses, should clarify and guide the resulting actions.
The main themes for April 26 will be released around April 10. These will be central to all.
