Newsletter No. 11

Two consecutive Valpic Saturdays on April 4 and 11 is a schedule that does justice to the topics that will be presented there:

Valpic Information – NEWSLETTER nr 11 – March 2026

1- “Prevention against burglaries” – Saturday, April 4 – from 18:15 at CC Le Régent.

Start of the conference: 6.30 p.m. – Aperitif from 8.00 p.m.

The Valais cantonal police have published the latest recommendations for the prevention of burglaries. Thanks to the intervention of Constable Gaëtan Lathion, whom we have the pleasure of welcoming as a speaker, the Communication and Prevention Service is offering us the first edition of these recommendations.

He will explain the prevention measures that have emerged from the latest experiences on this topic and you can also ask him directly about all aspects of this prevention.

Registrations are possible via https://valpic.ch/agenda/.

2- “World Cup 2027: What comes next?”

This is the topic of Saturday Valpic No. 11 on April 11. Bruno Hugler, Director of Crans-Montana Tourisme et Congrès (Tourist Office), will present the program after the World Cup in order to optimize the economic impact. The conference will be followed by an aperitif.

Registrations are possible via https://valpic.ch/agenda/.

3- Survey on primary and secondary residences (HES-SO Valais-Wallis)

Your Valpic committee was involved in the creation of this survey, which was launched by the HES-SO – Institute for Tourism. Please answer the questionnaire (link below). The results will be presented during the Valpic Saturday on August 15th.

In a changing mountain society and in view of the many challenges associated with the area, this study attempts to understand how people with primary and secondary residences live together.

The questionnaire is aimed at people who live in Valais, either with their main residence – i.e. they have their permanent residence in the commune and have deposited their papers there – or with a secondary residence – i.e. they come to the commune in their free time or on vacation and have their residence elsewhere (in Valais, in another Swiss canton or abroad).

The questionnaire is anonymous. There are no right or wrong answers. What we are interested in is your opinion and your feedback.

Answering this questionnaire will take about 15 minutes.
